  • A smoke 'twister' spins up from a fire line on a control burn of a cut wheat field along Speight Seed Farm Rd, near Folines Rd, Tuesday afternoon.  The 'twister' effect is caused when the hot air from the fire line expands and rises up, with no where to expand on the two sides where the fire runs, it moves to the cooler air before and behind it causing it to fold around itself and spins it like a top.  This one only lasted a few moments, but was a fantastic site.  (Jenni Farrow)

  • Kenley Riley, 2, would probably tell you her favorite part of Kidsfest Saturday afternoon, was the rain puddles.  The sport of recreational  puddle jumping was a new freedom for Kenley after getting a new rain slicker and boots.  (Jenni Farrow)
